Give Uniform Respect To Cricketers All Time.

The cricket players in india are real heros and role models for many people in
the country but we must remember that they are also human beings like us.

We are all proud of the Indian team's recent test performance. Defeating the Sri Lankan team to become the number one test cricket team in the world is tall order.

The Indian public is rightly ecstatic and delighted over the achievement of the team.

Both the media and people need to realise that victory and defeat are a part of the game and inevitable in any sport. The same team was criticised, when it couldn't perform well and win matches. We must realise that when all the players go on the field, they have the aim of putting in their best efforts to win the game. Hence, in defeat we must boost their morale and encourage them to perform better. In future, instead of ransacking and burning down the homes of cricketers, slandering their reputation and demoralising them, let us play a constructive role.

Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Dravid or MS Dhoni have all had their troughs and highs during their tenure. We must realise that they too are human and prone to failure.

We can't afford to see them as demi-Gods who are always destined to succeed. They must be given due respect in defeat as much as in victory. Cricket has a special place in the heart of all Indians. While football unites Latin America, Britain and Europe, cricket unites the whole of India. It is the only game enjoyed by all Indians without any quotas or barriers. This unifying and positive influence of cricket runs in the veins of each Indian. It is acknowledged even by sportspersons from other disciplines. Let's keep the gentleman's game that way.
